Readying for the cold
I was up very early this morning to take my older son to a hockey practice. We were at the rink at 6:30am. I now feel a little more like a hockey mom, paying my dues with the before-dawn practice.

I spent the afternoon doing a few more things to the yard to get it winter-ready. I brought in the solar lights, put the hose away, and scooped a multitude of leaves from the pool.

Sundays are hard. This one will not be an exception.

On the writing front, I added 1880 words to my NaNo novel, mostly at the practice this morning (until my laptop battery died -- I can't even get an hour out of it anymore). That puts my total at 10,192. Finally, I broke the 10K barrier. The shiny counter:

Those who are so behind salute you and your shiny counter! Go for it, Zed!

I'm trying, believe me. Today was brutal, but productive.
