07:48 pm - Someone Call the Fat Lady to the Stage In court today, with the combined efforts of me, my lawyer, my ex, and his lawyer, we came to an agreement on all of the outstanding issues of the divorce. We signed the memorandum and handed it to a judge. Our case has now been pulled from the trial list. Wow. The next step involves finessing the wording on the final agreement. And then, wham, we will be officially divorced. I am in shock at the moment. I had to pick up groceries after, and was so stunned that I spent most of the trip staring at the shelves trying to remember what we eat. 08:37 pm - No love I'm getting no love from F&SF receiving another rejection today, and another nope from Strange Horizons a couple of days ago. Bummer. I've been racing through my Christmas baking and tried lemon squares with Quinoa flour (gluten allergy issues) and they were a complete disaster. I am so frustrated that Christmas is so close and I have no time to get through my to-do list. Presents are unpurchased, and the ones that I have picked up sit unwrapped. My kids are only here until tomorrow evening then I don't get them back til Christmas eve. Stress-o-meter ensues. My mom's fracture has officially healed. I took her to the fracture clinic today where they X-rayed her and the fracture is repaired so she was able to take her brace/cast off today. Yay! In other news, another big "ugly stuff" meeting occurred yesterday. I found it stressful but the outcome was hopeful. The entire process of being in court before a judge was very foreign and it took me almost a day to recover my composure. I am one step closer in a very long journey.
